Here’s the beads I bought 10 years ago. Large Chinese ceramic beads. Some time later I got these fake cinnabar beads. After 2 hours of messing around with other beads tonite, I came up with these little matte red glass beads and copper spacers. I’m not sure I like the result, so I’m asking for opinions.

Something about the red… doesn’t quite go right for me.

Lovely beads, m’dearie! In my warped guess at the moment, the center focal needs to be as big or bigger than the other beads in the necklace. The colors look OK on my monitor, but the balance seems off with the small focal. Maybe use a grouping of 3 blue as the center/focal and fill in the rest of the necklace with all red or a combo of red and smaller blue. Or one blue center, the large red on each side, another blue on each side, fill in the rest with smaller beads… hehehe, bulk up your middle.
