Another piece that I finally completed is this graduated strand of dyed magnesite and carved bone bead necklace. The pendant is a carved bone horse wrapped with copper wire and hung with copper spacer beads.

I got some dark annealed steel wire and this is the first necklace I’ve made from it. The beads are Czech pressed glass. I do plan on polishing the wire some to bring out the highlights, then experimenting with a wax finish to protect it from moisture. I love the look, so I will be using more of the steel.

An Italian slate tile has been wrapped with aluminum wire and hung from a strand of glass and pewter beads. Chinese character metal charms dangle from the pendant and from the matching earrings.

I’ve shown this before. I had planned to make this part of a multi-strand piece, but it worked out better as separate necklaces.

I’ve shown this necklace before, but now I’ve taken the pendant off. It just didn’t fit.
